| The following is a "checklist" to help you determine if you SHOULD NOT enroll your child/children at KCA. We provide this as service in your evaluation process. |
1. If you do not believe that the Bible is the most important subject your child will study each day......then KCA is not for you.
2. If you believe that merely attaching religious instruction to public school methodology will solve the educational deficiencies of our broken public school system......then KCA is not for you.
3. If you do not like a well disciplined classroom where children obey the first time, are responsible for their behavior, take charge of their life, and learn to deal with life......then KCA is not for you.
4. If you do not believe that character training, such as learning to get along with others, paying attention, absolute honesty, etc. are more important than academics......KCA is not for you.
5. If you are more concerned with where the "experts" say your child should be rather than if they are ready or have mastered the concept......then KCA is not for you.
6. If you are more concerned with accreditation or certification rather than the teacher's knowledge of the subject or high standards......then KCA is not for you.
7. If you are only concerned with kids just being taught what they need to "get a job"......then KCA is not for you. (We are not here to teach your kids how to "make a living." We are here to teach them how to "make a life." The living will come.)
8. If you are more concerned with worksheets, workbooks, multiple choice, fill in the blank, and other canned curriculum tools, rather than teaching kids how to think and write critically......then KCA is not for you.
9. If you do not believe that history, patriotism, music, art, ancient languages, debate, and many other classical disciplines which have undergirded our American culture for generations, is important.......then KCA is not for you.
10. If you are more interested in sports rather than the character development and education of your child......then KCA is not for you.
11. If you value money and material possessions over your child's education......then KCA is not for you.
12. If you believe that lots of homework and other busy work are more important than family time......then KCA is not for you.
13. If you are afraid to go against the educational traditions and actually teach children how to think and learn naturally......then KCA is not for you.
14. If you believe that literature and other reading material should be "dumbed down," or brought down to the child's level rather than reading the classics in their original form.......then KCA is not for you.
15. If you are someone who constantly feels the need to compare your child to another child......then KCA is not for you. (God created us as individuals. No one has the unique gifts your child has!!)
16. If you are someone who believes that testing is the only way to assess your child's academic progress......then KCA is not for you.
17. If you are someone who must see a letter grade on a piece of paper to believe in your child's academic progress.......then KCA is not for you.
18. If you are a Christian and you do not see what your child's church attendance has to do with their academic development......then KCA is not for you.
19. If you are someone who does not have the courage to "go against the grain" or "think outside the box"......then KCA is not for you.
20. If you do not believe that we love your child almost as much as you do and have only their best interest at heart......then KCA is not for you.
